Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2004 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work The Cello Player by David-Eugène Girin. The price achieved of GBP 776.75 (€ 697.86) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David-Eugène Girin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The dance of Salome in September 2006 with an auction result of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,391.77).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Cello Player von David-Eugène Girin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 776,75 (€ 697,86) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David-Eugène Girin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The dance of Salome im September 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 8.400,00 (€ 12.391,77).
