The work The dance of Salome by David-Eugène Girin was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2006. The price achieved of GBP 8,400.00 (€ 12,391.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The dance of Salome is the most expensive artwork by David-Eugène Girin that we have observed at auctions so far.
