A top price for David Edgar Strachan - as previously expected
In August 2001 Christies in Sydney held the auction AUSTRALIAN AND INTERNATIONAL PAINTINGS, which included the work Still Life with Oranges by David Edgar Strachan. The price achieved of AUD 30,550.00 (€ 17,735.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Still Life with Oranges is the most expensive artwork by David Edgar Strachan that we have observed at auctions so far.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 30.550,00 (€ 17.735,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden.
