A top price for David Bierk - as previously expected
In May 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work A Eulogy To Life, To Manet, To Gauguin by David Bierk. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CAD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00, the actual price achieved of CAD 26,400.00 (€ 20,630.60) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, A Eulogy To Life, To Manet, To Gauguin is the most expensive artwork by David Bierk that we have observed at auctions so far.
