This artwork by David Chan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2006. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art auction, the work Walking The Dog sold for HKD 54,000.00 (€ 5,236.71) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 28,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by David Chan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work You Are So Special, Just Like Everyone Else in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 87,477.94).

Dieses Kunstwerk von David Chan erzielte im November 2006 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art wurde die Arbeit Walking The Dog für HKD 54.000,00 (€ 5.236,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 28.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von David Chan erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit You Are So Special, Just Like Everyone Else im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 87.477,94).
