In the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction, the work They want to make a champion out of you sold for HKD 125,000.00 (€ 10,290.81) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Chan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work You Are So Special, Just Like Everyone Else in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 87,477.94).
