This artwork by David Chan achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Foreplay Perhaps sold for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 37,924.45) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Chan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work You Are So Special, Just Like Everyone Else, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 812,500.00 (€ 87,477.94).

Für andere Arbeiten von David Chan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit You Are So Special, Just Like Everyone Else beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 812.500,00 (€ 87.477,94) versteigert wurde.
