It achieved a price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,792.78), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by David Chan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work You Are So Special, Just Like Everyone Else in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 812,500.00 (€ 87,477.94).

Die Arbeit Flying Pigs Are Still Bacon von David Chan wurde im Oktober 2013 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.792,78) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Chan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit You Are So Special, Just Like Everyone Else im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 812.500,00 (€ 87.477,94).
