Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Devine Comedy by David Chan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2014. It achieved a price of HKD 325,000.00 (€ 30,227.11), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 16%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by David Chan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work You Are So Special, Just Like Everyone Else, which sold at auction in November 2017 for HKD 812,500.00 (€ 87,477.94).

Die Arbeit A Devine Comedy von David Chan kam im April 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 325.000,00 (€ 30.227,11) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 16%. Für andere Arbeiten von David Chan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit You Are So Special, Just Like Everyone Else beobachtet, die im November 2017 für HKD 812.500,00 (€ 87.477,94) versteigert wurde.
