Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2010 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work An Artist In His Studio; Sault Ste-Marie Waterfall; To Vermeer by David Bierk. It changed hands for a price of CAD 24,000.00 (€ 18,409.57) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of CAD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Other works by David Bierk have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in May 2012 the work A Eulogy To Life, To Manet, To Gauguin was auctioned for CAD 26,400.00 (€ 20,630.60).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2010 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit An Artist In His Studio; Sault Ste-Marie Waterfall; To Vermeer von David Bierk zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von CAD 24.000,00 (€ 18.409,57) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von CAD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von David Bierk konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Mai 2012 die Arbeit A Eulogy To Life, To Manet, To Gauguin für CAD 26.400,00 (€ 20.630,60) versteigert.
