In October 2013 Christies in London held the auction THINKING BIG, which included the work Brick Lane Remix I by David Batchelor. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 27,500.00 (€ 32,504.78), 25% above the upper estimate. With this result, Brick Lane Remix I is even the most expensive work of art by David Batchelor that we have observed at auctions so far.
