Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Kray Brothers, 1965 by David Bailey was sold in the Made in Britain auction at Sothebys in London in March 2020. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,234.52) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Bailey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bob Dylan in February 2008 with an auction result of USD 63,800.00 (€ 42,009.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Kray Brothers, 1965 von David Bailey wurde im März 2020 in der Auktion Made in Britain bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.234,52) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von David Bailey auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bob Dylan im Februar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 63.800,00 (€ 42.009,61).
