Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Mountain by Daniel Silver was auctioned at Phillips in London in April 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,420.15). Admittedly, works by Daniel Silver have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in June 2016 with an auction result of GBP 10,875.00 (€ 13,053.55).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Mountain von Daniel Silver im April 2018 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.420,15) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Silver auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juni 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.875,00 (€ 13.053,55).
