Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2015 Artcurial held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings, which included the work "Un Deuil" by Daniel Ridgway Knight. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 48,920.00 22% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Daniel Ridgway Knight have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Coming from the Garden in November 2000 with an auction result of USD 402,000.00 (€ 462,387.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2015 führte Artcurial die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Paintings and Drawings durch, in der auch die Arbeit "Un Deuil" von Daniel Ridgway Knight zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 48.920,00 und damit 22% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daniel Ridgway Knight auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Coming from the Garden im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 402.000,00 (€ 462.387,85).
