Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peace by Daniel O'Neill was sold in the Modern British and Irish Art auction at Bonhams in London in September 2020. The price achieved of GBP 5,687.50 (€ 6,271.39) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel O'Neill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Figure in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 216,500.00 (€ 275,397.46).

Die Arbeit Peace von Daniel O'Neill wurde im September 2020 in der Auktion Modern British and Irish Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.687,50 (€ 6.271,39) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniel O'Neill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Figure im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 216.500,00 (€ 275.397,46).
