Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Figure Sketch by Daniel O'Neill. It changed hands for a price of GBP 687.00 (€ 806.71) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel O'Neill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Figure in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 216,500.00 (€ 275,397.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figure Sketch von Daniel O'Neill zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 687,00 (€ 806,71) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniel O'Neill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Figure im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 216.500,00 (€ 275.397,46).
