Sold at the upper estimate price
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Cecelia by Daniel O'Neill. The auction ended at the price of GBP 15,000.00 (€ 17,613.67), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Daniel O'Neill achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reclining Figure in May 2008 with an auction result of GBP 216,500.00 (€ 275,397.46).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Irish Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cecelia von Daniel O'Neill zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 15.000,00 (€ 17.613,67) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Daniel O'Neill erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reclining Figure im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 216.500,00 (€ 275.397,46).
