Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peruvian The Reconciliation by Daniel Hernández was sold in the European Paintings including German, Austrian & Central European Paintings and The Orientalist Sale auction at Sothebys in London in May 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 20,900.00 (€ 26,585.71) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Daniel Hernández have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2007 the work Peruvianel Admirador (A Regal Admirer) was auctioned for GBP 28,100.00 (€ 39,347.27).
