Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Artex by Dan Rees. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,742.44) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dan Rees achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Artex Painting in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 233,000.00 (€ 187,329.15).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Artex von Dan Rees zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.742,44) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dan Rees erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Artex Painting im November 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 233.000,00 (€ 187.329,15).
