Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Corn Dancer by Dan Namingha was sold in the American Art Online auction at Christies in New York in May 2019. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 3,587.77) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Dan Namingha - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Kiva Dancers," 1989, which sold at auction in August last year for USD 11,475.00 (€ 11,400.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Corn Dancer von Dan Namingha wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion American Art Online bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 3.587,77) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Dan Namingha mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Kiva Dancers," 1989 beobachtet, die im August letzten Jahres für USD 11.475,00 (€ 11.400,89) versteigert wurde.
