In November this year Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Discovery on Sunset, which included the work Fountain of Youth by Dale Chihuly. The »bidding war« ended at USD 1,024.00 (€ 938.76), 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Dale Chihuly achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A 'VENETIAN' VASE, 1989 in May 2018 with an auction result of USD 52,500.00 (€ 44,987.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 46 % übertroffen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Discovery on Sunset durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fountain of Youth von Dale Chihuly zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 1.024,00 (€ 938,76) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Dale Chihuly erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A 'VENETIAN' VASE, 1989 im Mai 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 52.500,00 (€ 44.987,15).
