In October 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work Bamboos In The Wind by Dai Mingyue. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 212,500.00 (€ 25,006.84), 42% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Dai Mingyue have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape After Dong Yuan in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 944,000.00 (€ 106,355.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Im Oktober 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Bamboos In The Wind von Dai Mingyue zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 212.500,00 (€ 25.006,84) und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Dai Mingyue auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape After Dong Yuan im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 944.000,00 (€ 106.355,74).
