Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vier Leeuwenbrug, Rotterdam, with Oude Maasbrug in the background by Daan Mühlhaus was sold in the Topographical Observations: Picture your world auction at Christies in Amsterdam in February 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 2,250.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Daan Mühlhaus - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View of the Amstel near the Hoge Sluis, Amsterdam, which sold at auction in September 2009 for EUR 6,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vier Leeuwenbrug, Rotterdam, with Oude Maasbrug in the background von Daan Mühlhaus wurde im Februar 2008 in der Auktion Topographical Observations: Picture your world bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 2.250,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Daan Mühlhaus mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View of the Amstel near the Hoge Sluis, Amsterdam beobachtet, die im September 2009 für EUR 6.250,00 versteigert wurde.
