Auction result well in line with expectations
In March 2011 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries, which included the work A busy street in Paris by Daan Mühlhaus. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 1,062.50 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Daan Mühlhaus have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work View of the Amstel near the Hoge Sluis, Amsterdam in September 2009 with an auction result of EUR 6,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März 2011 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, Art from the 19th, 20th and the 21st Centuries durch, in der auch die Arbeit A busy street in Paris von Daan Mühlhaus zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 1.062,50 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Daan Mühlhaus auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit View of the Amstel near the Hoge Sluis, Amsterdam im September 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 6.250,00.
