The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,287.50 (€ 6,853.14), 38% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cyrus Edwin Dallin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Massasoit' in December 2008 with an auction result of USD 266,500.00 (€ 191,464.90).

Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.287,50 (€ 6.853,14) und damit 38% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cyrus Edwin Dallin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Massasoit' im Dezember 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 266.500,00 (€ 191.464,90).
