In November 2011 Christies in London held the auction Victorian & British Impressionist Art, which included the work The White City by Cyrus Cuneo. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,250.00 (€ 2,626.64), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cyrus Cuneo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The picnic in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 34,760.92).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im November 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian & British Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The White City von Cyrus Cuneo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.250,00 (€ 2.626,64) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cyrus Cuneo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The picnic im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 34.760,92).
