Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cyrus Cuneo could be acquired at Bonhams in Los Angeles in November this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the California and Western Art Online auction, the work High Sierras 30 x 25 in. framed 37 1/2 x 32 1/2 in. changed hands for USD 1,408.00 (€ 1,290.80) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,500.00 – 2,400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cyrus Cuneo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The picnic in June 2008 with an auction result of GBP 27,500.00 (€ 34,760.92).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cyrus Cuneo konnte im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion California and Western Art Online wechselte die Arbeit High Sierras 30 x 25 in. framed 37 1/2 x 32 1/2 in. für USD 1.408,00 (€ 1.290,80) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500,00 – 2.400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cyrus Cuneo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The picnic im Juni 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 27.500,00 (€ 34.760,92).
