This artwork by Cui Xiuwen achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. In the The Ullens Collection - Experimentation and Evolution auction, the work Lady'S sold for HKD 187,500.00 (€ 17,315.55) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 90,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cui Xiuwen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work One Day In 2004 No.6, which sold at auction in September 2007 for USD 58,000.00 (€ 40,790.49).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Cui Xiuwen erzielte im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Ullens Collection - Experimentation and Evolution wurde die Arbeit Lady'S für HKD 187.500,00 (€ 17.315,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 90.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Cui Xiuwen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit One Day In 2004 No.6 beobachtet, die im September 2007 für USD 58.000,00 (€ 40.790,49) versteigert wurde.
