In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Mount Huang by Cui Ruzhuo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 137,500.00 (€ 14,534.81), 72% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cui Ruzhuo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Grand Snowing Mountains in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 306,800,000.00 (€ 34,565,614.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 72 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mount Huang von Cui Ruzhuo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 14.534,81) und damit 72% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cui Ruzhuo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Grand Snowing Mountains im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 306.800.000,00 (€ 34.565.614,89).
