Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In October 2020 Sothebys in London held the auction Modern & Contemporary African Art, which included the work Encontro by Cristiano Mangovo. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 8,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,094.30). Admittedly, works by Cristiano Mangovo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Dia De Felicidade in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 40,000.00 (€ 46,397.13).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Modern & Contemporary African Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Encontro von Cristiano Mangovo zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 8.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.094,30) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cristiano Mangovo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Dia De Felicidade im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 40.000,00 (€ 46.397,13).
