Auction result misses estimated price range
In September last year a collector was able to acquire the work Untitled, 1958 by Craig Kauffman for USD 2,550.00 (€ 2,606.56). This price was achieved in the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California at Bonhams in Los Angeles and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Craig Kauffman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of USD 327,600.00 (€ 305,283.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Untitled, 1958 von Craig Kauffman für USD 2.550,00 (€ 2.606,56) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art X Made In California bei Bonhams in Los Angeles erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Craig Kauffman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 327.600,00 (€ 305.283,76).
