It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,880.00 (€ 3,073.31) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Other works by Cowan Dobson have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2011 the work Portrait of Robert Bontine Cunninghame Graham (1852-1936) was auctioned for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,761.26).
