In October 2012 VAN HAM held the auction Dekorative Kunst, which included the work Der Rhein bei Kaub mit Burg Gutenfels by Cornelius Wagner. Here, the estimate of EUR 400.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for EUR 452.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelius Wagner achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Winter Bei Arosa, 1919 Winter Near Arosa, 1919 in November 2008 with an auction result of CHF 20,000.00 (€ 12,951.00).
Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Oktober 2012 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Dekorative Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Der Rhein bei Kaub mit Burg Gutenfels von Cornelius Wagner zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der Schätzpreis von EUR 400,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für EUR 452,00 einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelius Wagner erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Winter Bei Arosa, 1919 Winter Near Arosa, 1919 im November 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 20.000,00 (€ 12.951,00).
