Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Cornelius Pearson could be acquired at Bonhams in London in November 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British Country Life auction, the work In the Vale of St. John, Cumberland; Scene Near Cardigan Bay, North Wales, a pair changed hands for GBP 255.00 (€ 299.39) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelius Pearson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Thirlmere Lake, Cumbria in July 2021 with an auction result of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,397.65).
