A top price for Cornelius Pearson
In July 2021 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours including a Fine Collection of Old Master Prints, which included the work Thirlmere Lake, Cumbria by Cornelius Pearson. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,397.65), 25% above the upper estimate. With this result, Thirlmere Lake, Cumbria is even the most expensive work of art by Cornelius Pearson that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Juli 2021 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours including a Fine Collection of Old Master Prints durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thirlmere Lake, Cumbria von Cornelius Pearson zur Versteigerung kam.
