Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2002 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work A woman and her children in an interior by an open door, an old couple by a spinning wheel seated nearby, townsfolk beyond by Cornelis van Cuylenburgh II. The price achieved of EUR 3,346.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 3,000.00 – 4,000.00. Other works by Cornelis van Cuylenburgh II have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2010 the work Portrait of Simon de Jongh van Son (1758-1844), half-length, in a black costume with a white jabot, seated in his library; and Portrait of Charlotte Hahn, half-length, in a silver and black dress with lace collar and cuffs and a feathered hat was auctioned for EUR 5,000.00.

Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A woman and her children in an interior by an open door, an old couple by a spinning wheel seated nearby, townsfolk beyond von Cornelis van Cuylenburgh II zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 3.346,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Cornelis van Cuylenburgh II konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Dezember 2010 die Arbeit Portrait of Simon de Jongh van Son (1758-1844), half-length, in a black costume with a white jabot, seated in his library; and Portrait of Charlotte Hahn, half-length, in a silver and black dress with lace collar and cuffs and a feathered hat für EUR 5.000,00 versteigert.
