Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Trees in spring by Cornelis Kuypers was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction at Christies in Amsterdam in July 2003. The price achieved of EUR 1,314.50 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,200.00 – 1,600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Kuypers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, Peonies, Cineria, Tulips, A Great Mullein And Other Flowers In A Sculpted Vase, A Pineapple, Grapes, Peaches And Other Fruit On A Marble Ledge, With A Perch On A Fishing Rod, A Caterpillar, A Fly, A Spider And Ants in April 2013 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,551.30).

Die Arbeit Trees in spring von Cornelis Kuypers wurde im Juli 2003 in der Auktion PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.314,50 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.200,00 – 1.600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Kuypers erzielen.
