Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woodcutters at work by Cornelis Kuypers was sold in the PICTURES, WATERCOLOURS & DRAWINGS INCLUDING FLOWER PICTURES auction at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2002. The price achieved of EUR 717.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Kuypers achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Roses, Peonies, Cineria, Tulips, A Great Mullein And Other Flowers In A Sculpted Vase, A Pineapple, Grapes, Peaches And Other Fruit On A Marble Ledge, With A Perch On A Fishing Rod, A Caterpillar, A Fly, A Spider And Ants in April 2013 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 26,551.30).
