A top price for Cornelis Jan Mension - as previously expected
The work Cheeky Monkeys by Cornelis Jan Mension was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in June 2006. The price achieved of EUR 1,800.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Cheeky Monkeys is the most expensive artwork by Cornelis Jan Mension that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Cheeky Monkeys von Cornelis Jan Mension kam im Juni 2006 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 1.800,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Cheeky Monkeys das teuerste Kunstwerk von Cornelis Jan Mension, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
