The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,691.62) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Decker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A river landscape with a woman at the door of a cottage and a fisherman bringing in his catch in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 56,440.28).
