Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings, which included the work A Figure Standing By A Stone House Along A River by Cornelis Decker. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 6,500.00 (€ 7,522.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Cornelis Decker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A river landscape with a woman at the door of a cottage and a fisherman bringing in his catch in July 2016 with an auction result of GBP 47,500.00 (€ 56,440.28).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Figure Standing By A Stone House Along A River von Cornelis Decker zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 6.500,00 (€ 7.522,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis Decker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A river landscape with a woman at the door of a cottage and a fisherman bringing in his catch im Juli 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 47.500,00 (€ 56.440,28).
