Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2018 Christies in London held the auction Important Old Master Paintings from The Eric Albada Jelgersma Collection: Evening sale, which included the work A flower garland around a berkemeier on a ledge by Cornelis de Heem. The price achieved of GBP 248,750.00 (€ 277,129.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Cornelis de Heem - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Still Life Of Roses, Poppies, Lillies And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Marble Shelf; Beneath A Partly Peeled Orange And Fraises De Bois In A Wan Li Porcelain Dish, Both On A Projecting Marble Ledge, which sold at auction in January 2014 for USD 749,000.00 (€ 554,814.81).

Im Dezember 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion Important Old Master Paintings from The Eric Albada Jelgersma Collection: Evening sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A flower garland around a berkemeier on a ledge von Cornelis de Heem zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 248.750,00 (€ 277.129,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Cornelis de Heem mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Still Life Of Roses, Poppies, Lillies And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Marble Shelf; Beneath A Partly Peeled Orange And Fraises De Bois In A Wan Li Porcelain Dish, Both On A Projecting Marble Ledge beobachtet, die im Januar 2014 für USD 749.000,00 (€ 554.814,81) versteigert wurde.
