The work A melon, peaches, grapes, medlars, sunflowers, roses, peonies and other flowers with butterflies and other insects on a stone ledge by Cornelis de Heem was sold in the Three Private Collections: Belgravia, Berkshire and Guernsey auction at Christies in New York in May this year. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 60,480.00 (€ 70,368.88). Admittedly, works by Cornelis de Heem have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Still Life Of Roses, Poppies, Lillies And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Marble Shelf; Beneath A Partly Peeled Orange And Fraises De Bois In A Wan Li Porcelain Dish, Both On A Projecting Marble Ledge in January 2014 with an auction result of USD 749,000.00 (€ 554,814.81).

Die Arbeit A melon, peaches, grapes, medlars, sunflowers, roses, peonies and other flowers with butterflies and other insects on a stone ledge von Cornelis de Heem wurde im Mai diesen Jahres in der Auktion Three Private Collections: Belgravia, Berkshire and Guernsey bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 60.480,00 (€ 70.368,88) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Cornelis de Heem auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Still Life Of Roses, Poppies, Lillies And Other Flowers In A Glass Vase On A Marble Shelf; Beneath A Partly Peeled Orange And Fraises De Bois In A Wan Li Porcelain Dish, Both On A Projecting Marble Ledge im Januar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 749.000,00 (€ 554.814,81).
