Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Unequal Lovers by Cornelis Cornelisz. van Haarlem was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in June 2015. It changed hands for a price of USD 87,500.00 (€ 78,447.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Cornelisz. van Haarlem achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hercules And Achelous in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 8,105,000.00 (€ 5,206,192.19).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The Unequal Lovers von Cornelis Cornelisz. van Haarlem kam im Juni 2015 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 87.500,00 (€ 78.447,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Cornelisz. van Haarlem erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hercules And Achelous im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.105.000,00 (€ 5.206.192,19).
