In September 2012 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations, which included the work A view of the Kerkstraat in Almelo by Cornelis Christiaan Dommersen. The auction ended at the price of EUR 2,000.00, which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Cornelis Christiaan Dommersen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dutch The Harbour Of Antwerp With A View From The Left Bank Over The River Scheldt And The Onze Lieve Vrouw Cathedral In The Background in April 2008 with an auction result of EUR 29,050.00.
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im September 2012 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Nineteen to Now, incl. Topographical Observations durch, in der auch die Arbeit A view of the Kerkstraat in Almelo von Cornelis Christiaan Dommersen zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von EUR 2.000,00 entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Cornelis Christiaan Dommersen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dutch The Harbour Of Antwerp With A View From The Left Bank Over The River Scheldt And The Onze Lieve Vrouw Cathedral In The Background im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 29.050,00.
