In December 2014 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours, which included the work Head And Shoulders Of A Bearded Old Man by Constantijn van Renesse. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,500.00 (€ 3,218.33), 25% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Constantijn van Renesse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lot and his Daughters (Genesis 19:33) in January 2008 with an auction result of USD 51,400.00 (€ 34,633.78).

Im Dezember 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Drawings and Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head And Shoulders Of A Bearded Old Man von Constantijn van Renesse zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.500,00 (€ 3.218,33) und damit 25% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Constantijn van Renesse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lot and his Daughters (Genesis 19:33) im Januar 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 51.400,00 (€ 34.633,78).
