This artwork by Constance Frederica Gordon Cumming achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in April 2012. In the Travel, Science and Natural History auction, the work The Khylas Peaks and village of Pangi three miles above CHINE on the Sutledge sold for GBP 2,125.00 (€ 2,606.25) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Constance Frederica Gordon Cumming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lankatilaka Temple, Sri Lanka, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,974.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Constance Frederica Gordon Cumming erzielte im April 2012 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Travel, Science and Natural History wurde die Arbeit The Khylas Peaks and village of Pangi three miles above CHINE on the Sutledge für GBP 2.125,00 (€ 2.606,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Constance Frederica Gordon Cumming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lankatilaka Temple, Sri Lanka beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.974,51) versteigert wurde.
