Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work The Brazen Palace, Anuradhapura (Sri Lanka) by Constance Frederica Gordon Cumming was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 3,250.00 (€ 3,769.77). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Constance Frederica Gordon Cumming - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Lankatilaka Temple, Sri Lanka, which sold at auction in October 2019 for GBP 6,875.00 (€ 7,974.51).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit The Brazen Palace, Anuradhapura (Sri Lanka) von Constance Frederica Gordon Cumming kam im Oktober 2019 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 3.250,00 (€ 3.769,77) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Constance Frederica Gordon Cumming mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Lankatilaka Temple, Sri Lanka beobachtet, die im Oktober 2019 für GBP 6.875,00 (€ 7.974,51) versteigert wurde.
