Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work View from Flagstaff Hill, Sydney, New South Wales by Conrad Martens was sold in the THE ESTATE OF THE LATE FREDERICK D. BLADIN auction at Christies in Melbourne in April 2003. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 30,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 32,900.00 (€ 16,776.86). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Conrad Martens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ausa Campbell'S Wharf in May 2009 with an auction result of AUD 576,000.00 (€ 325,921.56).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit View from Flagstaff Hill, Sydney, New South Wales von Conrad Martens wurde im April 2003 in der Auktion THE ESTATE OF THE LATE FREDERICK D. BLADIN bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 30.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 32.900,00 (€ 16.776,86) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Conrad Martens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ausa Campbell'S Wharf im Mai 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 576.000,00 (€ 325.921,56).
