In October 2004 Christies in New York held the auction The C. Ruxton and Audrey B. Love Collection: Important, which included the work The Yacht Gracie by Conrad Freitag. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,962.50 (€ 7,031.62), 49% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Conrad Freitag - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The pilot boat Washington #22 with steamships and a clipper ship in the distance, which sold at auction in January 2008 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 16,845.23).

Im Oktober 2004 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The C. Ruxton and Audrey B. Love Collection: Important durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Yacht Gracie von Conrad Freitag zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.962,50 (€ 7.031,62) und damit 49% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Conrad Freitag mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The pilot boat Washington #22 with steamships and a clipper ship in the distance beobachtet, die im Januar 2008 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 16.845,23) versteigert wurde.
